Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and was raised by an ethnically diverse, multiracial family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim, a Malaysian. Her siblings include two brothers and an older sister. Due to unrest in Lanka, her parents moved to Bahrain in the late 1980s. In Australia she was enrolled in Media and Communications at University of Sydney following her graduation from Bahrain. The love of different cultures and languages led her to join the Berlitz language school, where she improved on French as well as Arabic while learning Spanish. In addition, she was crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and participated in Miss Universe 2006. In 2006 she won her the Miss Sri Lanka title. Following that, she stepped into television to host the show about Sri Lankan companies called Lanka Business Report. Padukone has a daughter with badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was born in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. In her teens, she played badminton in National level competitions. She later resigned her career in the sport to pursue a career as a model. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean from her birthplace. Padukone Village is located in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka within India. Prakash Padukone has retired as an international badminton player, while her mother is also a travel consultant.
